Final Day in the pool

Jersey finished in some style on the fourth day winning 2 golds, a silver and 2 bronze. Emily Bashforth smashed the Island Games 100m freestyle record and this was followed by arguably the most exciting relay event of the whole competition when Jersey came from behind to eventually catch and overtake the Faroe Islands in the 4x100m individual medley. Ebony Jacklin played a major part with a very strong leg in the fly. JJ Gallichan swam well to win a silver in the 400m freestyle and Kerrie Smith swam an exceptional 50m backstroke to win bronze, just narrowly missing out on a silver.

The mens 4x100m relay consisting of JJ & Tom Gallichan, Antoin Le Fevre and Stefan McGreevy swam their absolute best to win bronze in a time just outside of the Jersey Island record.

In the 8 person relay canon Jersey had the consolation of beating archive rivals Guernsey finishing second.
