Last two days have seen more frustration for the windsurfers. Waiting for the elusive 11 knots or more of wind, we have been teased into hitting the water five times hoping to start a race. One time the race started, only to be cancelled on the last leg.

On the other hand, things could be worse...

Today, Jersey Men volleyball beat Cayman Islands in five sets, just missing out on a semi final place on count back. Very well done guys. The scores against Cayman was: Cayman -Jersey  25-18, 26-24, 17-25, 15-25, 13-15

Swimming gained a further 6 medals in the pool, 3 silver and 3 bronze taking the tally to 14 medals halfway through the competition but are still looking for that elusive gold.  The first day saw Island Games history with every event being won in a new record.

The second day of competition was also to prove tough. Tom Gallichan won silver and bronze in the mens medley and 200m freestyle...

The men have a crucial game against Caymen on Wednesday which if they win they could reach the semi finals.

Matthew Morel has dislocated his right ankle during the game against Aland. He is now in plaster.

Claire Wilson won silver in the 1500m.

A bronze medal in a fantastic sprint finish for Elliott Dorey in the 800m.

Shadine Duquemin won the Shot gold medal. Zane Duquemin won the Discus gold medal in a championship performance to add to his Shot Gold won yesterday also in a championship record.

Steve Bouchard won silver in a field of 24 shooters with a pb of 591, just 4 points behind the leader in the 50m prone individual competition. Sarah Pallot tied with Mary Norman with Sarah winning the silver medal  on count back and Mary the bronze in the ladies 50m prone individual event.

Squash have 2 men and 2 women in the semi final on Wednesday.
